Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for modifying a molded product of a polyethylene-based resin which imparts a function corresponding to a fluorine resin such as more excellent hydrophobicity and solvent resistance to a molded product of a polyethylene-based resin.SOLUTION: A method for modifying a molded product of a polyethylene-based resin includes: a step of preparing a copolymer solution obtained by dissolving a copolymer, which is a copolymer for polyethylene modification having a structure derived from a first monomer (A) and a structure derived from a second monomer (B), where the monomer (A) is a monomer having an alkane chain having a length of a carbon number of 8 or more in its side chain and the monomer (B) is a monomer having a specific fluorinated alkyl group in its side chain, in a solvent; a step of bringing the copolymer solution into contact with a molded product of the polyethylene-based resin; and a step of vaporizing a solvent of the copolymer solution brought into contact with the molded product to form the copolymer layer on the surface layer of the molded product.SELECTED DRAWING: None
