Abstract:
PURPOSE:To make the inspection and replacement of packings more simple by inserting a packing made up of a retaining ring having a bar projected outside and an elastic ring inserted inside through a guide groove cut on a part of the mounting wall. CONSTITUTION:A packing 7 is made up of a steel circular retaining ring 71 and an elastic ring made of rubber or the like smaller in the width than the ring 71 inserted thereinside. In this case, the inner diameter of the elastic ring 72 is made slightly smaller than the outer diameter of the screw 5 while one bar 73 is provided radially on the circumference of the ring. To load or unload the packing, with the output shaft 6 fixed, the screw alone is moved to the left and then, the packing is withdrawn holding the bar 73. As a result of an inspection, the old packing or a replacement is inserted to reload the packing 7.
