Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize non-contact optical transmission without being restricted by the number of insertion/extraction times or optical transmission by means of a fiber cable with which intermediate distance transmission is easy by executing encoding so that special four states are set from the highest voltage.
SOLUTION: Transition 14 between a J state and a K state is generated by general data, transitions 17 and 16 from the J state or the K state to an SEO state are generated when general data changes to an end-of-packet and transition from an IDLE state to the K state is generated by a start-of-packet. When the characteristic of the state transition of such USB signal can satisfactorily be allocated, conversion fitted to optical transmission is realized. At the time of encoding the inner part of the hub of a first stage to a light signal, the K state 10 is set to the highest voltage level, the IDLE state 11 to the second highest one and the J state 12 and the SEO state 13 are sequentially set to the lower levels.
