Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a fabric product having thickly grown short fluffs, to prevent reduction in quality caused by heat generation of fabric and cut of fibers during a napping process and to carry out uniform napping.
CONSTITUTION: Fabric 10 to be treated is passed between a processing rotator 12 composed of a columnar or cylindrical whetstone and a pressurizing structural member 14 having a circular arc-like dented face 22 which is partially engaged with the outer peripheral face of the processing rotator and is closely and opposingly arranged to the outer peripheral face of the processing rotator. Hydraulic pressure is applied to the fabric to be treated from the circular arc- like dented face side of the pressurizing structural member while revolving the processing rotator and transporting the fabric to be treated to bring the fabric into contact with the outer peripheral face of the processing rotator under pressure.
