Abstract:
To provide an on-demand table and a route update method after a node failure.SOLUTION: A network 300, at a first node N2, detects a failure of a second node N1, records that a first path is unavailable, and switches to a second path including a next-hop third node N6. The N2 checks the hop count of a node N3, generates an information packet comprising a unique ID of the failed node and the hop count of the N2, and broadcasts the information packet to one-hop neighbouring nodes N1, N3, N6 of the N2. Each of the one-hop neighbouring nodes that receives the information packet stores the unique ID of the failed N1 and the hop count of the N2, recalculates the hop count, and if the hop count at a one-hop neighbouring node is different from the hop count prior to receiving the information packet, generates a second information packet comprising a new hop count and broadcasts the second information packet to its own one-hop neighbouring nodes.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
