Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device to numerically identify a contact position between a wheel of a traveling railway vehicle and a rail that can identify even in a railway vehicle to which usual wheel shafts are installed, not using a special and expensive PQ wheel shaft, a contact position between a rotating wheel and a rail easily and automatically by performing numeric conversion of the contact position, and to provide a method of numerically identifying a contact position between a wheel and a rail.SOLUTION: A device for numerically identifying a contact position between a wheel of a traveling railway vehicle and a rail includes an infrared thermography camera 7 attached to a carriage component of the railway vehicle and capable of detecting radiating heat. On the occasion of attaching the infrared thermography camera 7 thereto, there is used a fixture 8 for the infrared thermography camera 7 having a vibration-proofing function that prevents malfunction of the infrared thermography camera and shaking in photographing even under an excessive vibration acceleration environment of a traveling railway vehicle.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
