PURPOSE: To provide the operating method capable of obtaining desired printing quality and optimizing the effective life of a printing head.
CONSTITUTION: Warming pulse voltage not ejecting ink is applied to the heater resistor 17 of a printing head 19 and the printing head 19 is heated at temp. higher than temp. generated according to ink ejecting pulses and a series of continuous ink ejecting pulses gradually reduced in pulse energy are applied to the heater resistor 17. The temp. of the printing head 19 during this period is repeatedly sampled to form one set of temp. data samples related to reducing pulse energy and the equation of a curve matched with the temp. data samples is determined and the printing head 19 is operated by the operating energy obtained from this equation.
