Title:
METHOD FOR OPTICAL RESOLUTION OF ERYTHRO-2-AMINO-1,2-DIPHENYLETHANOL AND METHOD FOR OPTICAL RESOLUTION OF MANDELIC ACID
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2014152156
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for obtaining an optically active material, when erythro ADPE or MA is used as a reagent for optical resolution, having a sign opposite to the previously obtained one without forming a diastereomeric salt again.SOLUTION: To provide a method for producing an optically active erythro ADPE, comprising (1) to (3): (1) a step of recrystallizing a salt between a racemic mixture of erythro ADPE and optically active MA in an organic solvent A to obtain crystals of a diastereomeric salt between one form of optically active erythro ADPE and optically active MA, and a solution of a diastereomeric salt between another form of optically active erythro ADPE and optically active MA; (2) a step of distilling off the organic solvent A from the solution containing a diastereomeric salt between another form of optically active erythro ADPE and optically active MA, and recrystallizing a solid obtained in an organic solvent B to obtain crystals of a diastereomer salt between optically active MA and another form of optically active erythro ADPE, and (3) a step of decomposing the crystals between optically active MA and another form of optically active erythro ADPE to obtain another form of optically active erythro ADPE. The organic solvent A is 1-propanol or 1-butanol, and the organic solvent B is ethanol or 1,4-dioxane, or vice versa. Also provided is a method for producing optically active MA.
