Abstract:
PURPOSE: To effectively press a piece of packaging material to the whole area of the bale by placing the piece of packaging material between the fiber material and a press ram on which the leaf springs are fastened, automatically detaching the piece of packaging material from the press ram by withdrawing a press box after the compressing in the press box, and lowering the press box again. CONSTITUTION: A piece of packaging material 5 is placed between a fiber material 2 and a press ram 3, a peripheral edge of the piece of packaging material 5 is folded upward by pressing the press ram 3 into the press box marginal zones 1, and the peripheral edge area of the packaging material is pressed outward from the press ram 3 by the leaf springs 6 after the press box marginal zones 1 are withdrawn. When the press box marginal zones 1 are lowered again, the upward peripheral edge area of the piece of packaing material 5 is grasped to be folded downward to the whole area of the produced bale 4, whereby the packaging condition free from the defect can be obtained.
