Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To actualize an arbitrary communication pattern of a parallel processing system by allowing a token at an intersection of node representation in a two-dimensional array to perform an operation defined with a related operation parameter.
SOLUTION: To exercise an intended communication pattern, a given node is selected first (step 701) and an intersection crossing the index line of the node is investigated (step 702). When there is a token indicating the transmission of a message (step 703), the relation among the token, a message indication, and a relative message parameter is decoded (step 704) and transmitting operation is performed (step 705). Then, it is decided whether an intersection which is already investigated is the final intersection in a given line (step 706) or not, and when so, it is judged whether or not all nodes on an occurrence graph are evaluated (step 707). When the final node is investigated, the operation is completed (step 709).
