Abstract:
To make it possible to predict a flatness of a hot rolled steel sheet, which is wound in a coil form in a hot rolling process, with a good accuracy.SOLUTION: A true elongation strain difference distribution inherent in a hot rolled steel sheet is calculated in such a manner that a first elongation strain difference distribution, which occurs due to width direction temperature distribution of the hot rolled steel sheet before winding, and a second elongation strain difference distribution, which occurs due to a tightly winding force of the hot rolled steel sheet, are overlapped. A large deflection analysis by finite-element method or analysis with use of a theoretical model is performed with respect to the calculated true elongation strain difference distribution, thereby calculating a steepness of the hot rolled steel sheet, and predicting a flatness of the hot rolled steel sheet.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 10
