Abstract:
To provide a method for preparing a catalyst for effectively manufacturing phenol from benzene and to provide a method for manufacturing phenol by using the catalyst.
The method for preparing the catalyst by making rhenium and at least one of platinum and palladium carried on a metal oxide includes a process of obtaining the metal oxide carrying rhenium by impregnation with the metal oxide and a solution containing methyl trioxorhenium, and is designed to prepare the catalyst for manufacturing phenol by oxidizing benzene with oxygen. The method for manufacturing phenol by using the catalyst is also included.
