Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prepare high purity phosphorous by efficiently eluting and removing impurities in crude white phosphorous.
SOLUTION: In this method for preparing the high purity phosphorous by heating and melting crude white phosphorous and mixing nitric acid while' stirring to elute the impurities such as arsine in the phosphorous into nitric acid thereby refining phosphorous, the reaction efficiency is improved by charging the whole required quantity of 35±4% nitric acid and the crude white phosphorous into a reaction vessel 1 at the same time and keeping the liquid temperature at 62±3°C automatically by controlling the stirring rate of a stirrer 5 while cooling the outer circumferential part of the reaction vessel 1 with cooling water.
