PURPOSE: To prepare a loquat tea capable of being readily drunk only by the pouring of hot water thereinto by subjecting the raw leaves of loquat to a combination of the treatments of freezing, oven, microwave oven, shadow drying etc., and subsequently grinding the product.

CONSTITUTION: The raw leaves of loquat are subjected to a combination of one kind or more of freezing, microwave oven heating, oven heating, shadow drying, etc., ground and subsequently packed in tea bags. The loquat tea prepared by the method gives a good color immediately just after only the pouring of hot water, generates good flavor and taste and has medical activities.
