PURPOSE: To prevent the ductility of a cutting part from being lowered and a small scrap from occurring in the press blanking work of a metal plate.
CONSTITUTION: In a first process, the metal plate 16 on a die 17 is punched down to a prescribed position by a punch 18, and half-shearing is applied to the metal plate 16 leaving a re-trimming margin B for a trimming line 21 along the contour of a product part 16a. At this time, a crack 22 and a work hardened layer 24 are generated. In a second process, the crack 22 and the work hardened layer 24 are eliminated together with the scrap 23 by punching down the metal plate 16 after plating it on a die 19a by a punch 20, and applying the shearing to the metal plate 16 along the trimming line 21. In this way, the crack and the work hardened layer hardly occur when the shearing is applied, and the ductility of the cut part is not lowered. Since the crack 22 and the work hardened layer 24 can be eliminated together with the scrap 23, no small scrap occurs, and the fault of a metal mold due to the remainder of a fine scrap is prevented.
