In a conventional method of changing pressure, even if a soft texture is wanted, with the upper flatiron remaining pressed, air is sucked for drying, so a soft finish could not be obtained. However, while the upper flatiron is separated, air is sucked for drying for some types of cloths and washing methods, so a soft texture is obtained.
