PURPOSE: To improve a formed product in dimensional accuracy by arranging a plurality of telescopic strut members between a bolster and a slide and correcting the parallelism of the bolster to the slide.
CONSTITUTION: A plurality of hydraulic cylinders 17A, 17B are arranged as strut members between the bolster 11 and the slide 12 of a press. A 1st cylinder 17A is arranged to the place where the distance between the bolster 11 and ths slide 12 is the shortest and a 2nd cylinder 17B is arranged on the opposite side. In this case, the hydraulic pressure of the cylinder 17A is set to be higher than that of the cylinder 17B. When the slide 12 is lowered, the slide 12 collides with the upper end of the cylinder 17A and the gradient of the slide 12 is corrected fulcruming that upper end. If the slide 12 is lowered further, it comes in contact with the cylinder 17B and the gradient of the slide 12 is corrected. Since the parallelism of the slide 12 to the bolster 11 is elevated, the formed product 18 is improved in dimensional accuracy.
