Abstract:
PURPOSE:To make it possible to wind up a thread having a splice knot with a large gripping force by providing such an arrangement that threads are not cut but storing of data in memory alone is carried out when a plurality of thread ends sucked during thread splicing operation are detected, and after completion of thread splicing operation the cutter is compulsorily operated. CONSTITUTION:During thread splicing operation, a cutter 8 is not operated but data is stored in memory if a detecting device 8 detects an abnormal thread, and accordingly, a thread splicing operation is continued by a thread splicing device as is the same as normal thread splicing operation. That is, clamping threads, setting a length of the threads and surely untwisting one end of the threads are carried out. After the completion of a first thread splicing operation, the cutter 8b is operated in accordance with data stored in memory so as to compulsorily cut the thread, and then a second thread splicing operation is initiated. Accordingly, even if the cutter 8b misses in cutting a thread, since the one ends of the thread has been already untwisted during the first thread splicing operation, the thread is wound into a package in a well- excellent thread splice condition in comparison with such a condition that threads are spliced without thread ends being untwisted.
