PURPOSE: To prevent clogging of ash in a soda recovering boiler by adding water, etc., to ash obtained by collecting dust, dehydrating the resultant prepared slurry under specific conditions, removing K and mixing the obtained ash with a black liquor.
CONSTITUTION: Ash obtained by collecting dust is fed to a stirred tank 2 with a Glauber's salt conveyor 1 and clear water 3 and steam 4 are fed to prepare an ash slurry, which is then fed to a stirred tank 6 and regulated to 5-20% concentration and 60-100°C temperature. K+ and Cl- are fed from the bottom of the tank 6 to a dehydrator 15 with a pump 13 and part of the saturated solution is collected in a cyclone 14. The ash and water containing the K+ and Cl- are separated from the ash slurry with the dehydrator 15 and the ash is then recovered in an ash mixing tank with a cake conveyor 16 and mixed with a black liquor.
