Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the operability and avoid troubles during wire tying by monitoring wire twist conditions and automatically stopping the operation of the twisting machine at the optimum tying conditions.
SOLUTION: This tying machine for reinforcing bars comprises a wire feed device 2 for feeding a wire for tying reinforcing bars, a guide arm 3 for guiding and winding the wire 1 sent out to a loop shape around the bar intersection, a twisting device 4 for twisting and tightening part of wire loop wound, and a cutting device 5 for cutting the loop from the wire at the wire source. In this case, the torque of motor 6 for driving the twisting device 4 is monitored from the operation start of the twisting device 4, a drive current for the motor 6 is interrupted when the peak of torque is detected, and twisting and tightening by the twisting device 4 is completed.
