PURPOSE: To prevent or decrease the deposits even when fuel prepd. by adding specific a polyol ether to alcohol fuel is used together with a lubricant suitable for an engine operated by hydrocarbon fuel by using the fuel described above.
CONSTITUTION: The fuel is obtd. by adding (B) 15 ppm to 1 wt.% polyol ether of the formula [R is H, linear or branched 1-20C alkyl, 1-20C alkenyl, polyunsatd. 1-20C alkyl or the like; R1 and R2 are each H, 1-8C alkyl, (substd.) aryl residue; R3 is OR5, SR5, N(R5)2; R5 is H, linear or branched 1-20C alkyl, 1-20C alkenyl, polyunsatd. 1-20C alkyl, 1-20C cycloalkyl or the like, (m) is 2 to 4; (n) is 1 to 200] to (A) the alcohol fuel which contains water, 3-10C alcohol, other compds. contg. oxygen, hydrocarbon and corrosion suppressor at need and consists of methanol and/or ethanol as a base. The fuel is used together with the lubricant suitable for the engine operated by the hydrocarbon fuel.
