Abstract:
PURPOSE: To prevent the contamination of the surface of a resin by irradiating the surface with ultraviolet or vacuum ultraviolet rays.
CONSTITUTION: The contamination of the surface of a resin can be prevented by irradiating the surface with ultraviolet or vacuum ultraviolet rays. Examples of the resin include fluororesins, such as PTFE, PFA and FEP, and PE, PMMA and PP resins, among which a resin having fluorine atoms on the outermost layer is desirable in particular. Examples of the ultraviolet or vacuum ultraviolet sources usable include a metal halide lamp, a deuterium lamp, a mercury lamp and an excimer lamp, among which ones having a wavelength of at most 344nm are desirable.
