CONSTITUTION: The miserasing preventing area A recorded with the miserasing preventing information at the start edge is formed to tracks τa, τb of a tape 12, and a main area B on which a PCM signal and a pilot signal are recorded to the remaining areas other than the miserasing prevention area A is formed. The digital signal of the miserasing prevention information recorded in the miserasing prevention area A, that is, a digital signal outputted from a forming circuit 4 consists of a synchronizing data SYa, the miserasing prevention data CD and a CRC code CRa for error detection. The area preventing the miserasing of the tape 12 and the area not preventing it are discriminated depending on the presence of the recording of the miserasing prevention information of the area A so as t prevent the miserasing.
