Abstract:
To provide a method for preventing oxidation, which method uses a water soluble agent causing no coloration with time or due to heat and is excellent in safety.
The method for preventing oxidation includes adding propionic acid derivative of 2-mercaptobenzimidazole denoted represented by formula as an antioxidant to a base material, to a base material, a mixture of the base material and water and an emulsion of a mixture of the base material and water.
