To provide a method for preventing vibration in traveling a wheel chair and to provide a paving block having such structure as providing neither vibration unnecessary for a vehicle such as the wheelchair and a baby carriage nor unevenness and a step difference and facilitating the construction.
A plurality of prismatic paving blocks 30 are laid in a place where the wheelchair travels. Each block 30 is so constituted that a plurality of grooves 33 in parallel to its one side are formed parallel to each other on its whole upper surface and a projection 37 for integrally fitting the adjoining blocks 30 to each other and making their heights same is formed in one side wall 30a along the grooves 33 to be the adjoining surface of each block 30. A fitting groove 36 to be fitted with the projection 37 of the block is formed in the other opposite side wall 30b and the plurality of blocks 30 are so disposed as to face the grooves 33 in the same direction mutually, fit the projection 37 in the fitting grooves 36, and adjoin to one another. This constitution prevents unnecessary vibration from being applied on the wheelchair traveling on its upper surface.
