To provide a method for processing the negative black-and-white silver halide photographic sensitive material, containing a hydrazine derivative, capable of keeping good reproduction of minute dots and good quality and eliminating occurrence of white spots and enhancing reversed character quality even in reducing a replenishing amount for a developing solution and running processing of a large amount.
This photosensitive material has silver halide emulsion layers containing ≥60mol% silver chloride on a support and at least one of the emulsion layers contains a hydrazine derivative, and this photosensitive material is, after exposure, processed with an automatic developing machine provided with a developing bath, a fixing bath, a bath of a rinsing water or a stabilizing liquid, and a drying means, by feeding a replenishing solution prepared by using granular processing agents containing an ascorbic acid or its derivative.
