Abstract:

PURPOSE: To enhance stability of a color image, especially, to prevent deterioration of a cyan color image in the dark and occurrence of yellow stains by processing the color photographic sensitive material with a final bath containing a specified organic acid.

CONSTITUTION: This silver halide color photographic sensitive material is imagewise exposed and color developed and undergoes desilvering processing, and then, processed with the final bath containing the organic acid represented by formula I in which each of R1-R6 is straight or branched or cyclic alkyl or alkenyl or alkynyl, preferably, having 1-100C; W is divalent bonding group having C atom or atoms: and each of M1-M4 is H or a cation. The compound of formula I may be whatever optical isomer, such as [S, S], [S, R], [R, S], or [R, R] isomer, or a mixture of any combination of these isomers.
