PURPOSE: To prevent the staining after processing and the staining on aging or the deterioration of picture preservability even in the processing in small quantity by using a complex of the specified org. compd. and ferric salt as a bleaching agent in the desilverizing stage of a silver halide photographic material and incorporating a specified haterocyclic compd. into the wash bath or stabilizing soln.
CONSTITUTION: The Fe(III) complex of a compd. shown by formula I (where W is a bivalent connecting group including carbon atom, and each as M1, M2, M3 and M4 is hydrogen atom and a cation) is used as a bleaching agent in the desilverizing stage of a developed silver halide color photographic material. Further, a compd. shown by formula II (where R7 is hydrogen atom, an alkyl, amido group and alkali metal atom, and each of R8 and R9 is hydrogen atom, an alkyl hydroxyl, amino group, nitro group, etc) or the compd, shown by formula III (where R10 is the same as R7, and each of R11, R12, R13 and R14 is hydrogen hydrogen atom, a halogen atom, alkyl, hydroxyl, amino group nitro group, etc.) is incorporated into the wash bath or stabilizing soln.
