Abstract:
To provide a production method in which foaming is controlled, and which can improve the volume efficiency in an industrial scale in the production of 2-(2-[4-(dibenzo[b,f][1,4]thiazepin-11-yl)-1-piperazinyl]ethoxy)ethanol.
A mixture containing alkali metal carbonates, 11-chloro-dibenzo[b,f][1,4]thiazepine and an organic solvent at the reflux temperature of the organic solvent is added to 2-(2-hydroxyethoxy)ethyl-1-piperazine, and the 11-chloro-dibenzo[b,f][1,4]thiazepine and the 2-(2-hydroxyethoxy)ethyl-1-piperazine are allowed to react.
