Abstract:
To provide a method for producing 2-adamantanone in high yield through preventing the dispersion of adamantane.
This method comprises oxidizing adamantane with sulfuric acid to produce 2-adamantanone and the oxidation reaction is characterized by being performed at ≤63°C.
