Abstract:
To provide an industrially advantageous method for producing 2-(substituted) phenylnitrobenzene which is useful as an intermediate of medicines/pesticides or the like.
In this method for producing 2-(substituted) phenylnitrobenzene, 2-chloronitrobenzene derivative, and phenylboric acid or its derivative, or phenylboric acid anhydride are reacted together in an aqueous solvent in the presence of a palladium catalyst, a quaternary ammonium salt and a base.
