Abstract:
To provide a method for producing 2,7-dihydroxy-9-alkylfluorene in a high yield by a simple and safe method.
This method for producing the 2,7-dihydroxy-9-alkylfluorene is provided by heating a mixture containing 2,7-dibromofluorene, an aliphatic alcohol, an alkali alkoxide, copper and/or copper oxide.
