To provide a method for industrially and efficiently producing 3,4-dihydro-1,2,3-oxathiazine-4-one-2,2-dioxide compound or its salt, which is excellent in operation stability, without using an expensive apparatus.
When producing 3,4-dihydro-1,2,3-oxathiazine-4-one-2,2-dioxide compound represented by formula (2)(wherein R1 and R2 are same or different and they are each a hydrogen atom or an organic group which is inactive to reaction and R3 is a hydrogen atom or an organic group which is inactive to reaction)or its salt by carrying out cyclization reaction of β-ketoamide-N-sulfonic acid represented by formula (1) (wherein R1, R2 and R3 are the same as mentioned above; X is a hydrogen atom) or its salt in the presence of an acid anhydride or carrying out hydrolysis reaction after the cyclization reaction, the cyclization reaction is continuously carried out by using a flow-through continuous reactor.
