Abstract:
To develop a method for producing a 9,10-diacyloxy-anthracene derivative from anthraquinones by which a catalyst recovering step can be omitted, the yield is good and the production can readily be carried out.
This method for producing the 9,10-diacyloxy-anthracene derivative is characterized by reducing the anthraquinones with hydrazines, providing a leuco derivative and then reacting the resultant leuco derivative with a monocarboxylic acid anhydride.
