Abstract:
To provide a method capable of producing a 9,9-bis(4-amino-3-halogenophenyl)fluorene compound in a high purity and a high yield with a less content of heteropoly acid.SOLUTION: There is provided a method for producing a 9,9-bis(4-amino-3-halogenophenyl)fluorene compound which comprises: a step of subjecting 9-fluorenone and 2-halogenoanilines represented by the following general formula (1) (wherein, X represents a chlorine or fluorine atom) to condensation reaction in the presence of a dissolved heteropoly acid to obtain a reaction solution containing a 9,9-bis(4-amino-3-halogenophenyl)fluorene compound; and a step of adding an alkaline aqueous solution into the obtained reaction liquid, followed by washing to remove the heteropoly acid.SELECTED DRAWING: None
