Abstract:
To provide a method for producing an acetoxyphenyl compound of high purity without using highly dangerous high-concentration (for example, 30 wt.% or more) peracetic acid and a halogen-based solvent which is avoided due to environmental problems in the production of an acetoxyphenyl compound by oxidation of an acetylphenyl compound.
There is provided a method for producing an acetoxyphenyl compound which comprises: a step of dissolving a hydrogen sulfate in at least one of the following (a) to (c); and a step of mixing (a) to (c) to oxidize an acetoxyphenyl compound: (a) an aromatic hydrocarbon solution of an acetylphenyl compound, (b) acetic acid or an acetic acid aqueous solution, and (c) hydrogen peroxide water.
