Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing an alkynecarboxylic acid (alkynoic acid), by oxidizing an alkyne alcohol (aklynol).
SOLUTION: This method for producing the alkynecarboxylic acid comprises oxidizing the alkyne alcohol by using a hypohalite salt in the presence of a nitroxy compound in a condition of a pH 7 or higher, wherein the alkyne alcohol and the hypohalite salt are continuously added to a reaction mixture thereof.
