Abstract:
To provide a method of producing aluminum foil, capable of controlling scorch occurring at an early stage of foil production and generation of pinholes, and of highly efficiently producing aluminum foil of high quality, and aluminum foil produced by using the same.SOLUTION: The method of producing aluminum foil comprises a step of bringing a part of an electrolytic deposition region of a cathode drum and an anode member into an immersed state in a plating solution kept at a temperature suitable for a plating treatment, a step of rotating the cathode drum and concurrently applying an electric current between the electrolytic deposition region and the anode member to electrolytically deposit aluminum on the electrolytic deposition region to form aluminum coating film, and a step of peeling off the aluminum coating film rising out of the plating solution using a lead material, in which method electric current is applied between the electrolytic deposition region and the anode member after keeping the electrolytic deposition region at a temperature between 70°C and 140°C inclusive so that an electric current density becomes 80 mA/cmor greater. Aluminum foil having 10 pieces/25 cmor less of pinholes penetrating in the width direction of its product part, is produced by using the production method.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
