Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently obtain an anilide compound without the need of any filtration process by reaction between an acid fluoride and an N-silylaniline compound in the presence of a basic compound. SOLUTION: This anilide compound is obtained by reaction between an acid fluoride of e.g. the formula R<1> -CO-F [R<1> is a (substituted) monovalent organic group such as alkyl, cycloalkyl, alkenyl, aryl or aralkyl] or the formula F-CO-R<2> -CO-F [R<2> is a (substituted) divalent organic group such as alkylene, cycloalkylene, alkenylene or arylene] and an N-silylaniline compound of e.g. the formula [(a) is 0-5; R<3> is an alkyl, alkenyl or aryl, pref. methyl; R<4> is H, an alkyl or a group of the formula Si(R<3> )3 ; R<5> is a halogen, nitro or a group of the formula Si(R<3> )3 ] in the presence of a basic compound (pref. a tertiary amine, esp. triethylamine) pref. at 20-60 deg.C for 1-10h.
