To economically produce an opening roller in a short period in a method for producing an attachment wire suitable for mounting on a main body of opening roller.
A wire of common material for producing an attachment wire is processed into a wire roll in a longitudinally placed state. In this case, the tooth part of the wire is made vertical to the axis of the wire rope and the diameter of the wire roll is made to correspond to the diameter of the main body of the opening roller or is made into ±5% of the diameter of the main body of the opening roller. The wire roll is loosely inserted into a supporting apparatus and introduced together with the supporting apparatus into a galvanic apparatus (an apparatus to be operated by an electrolytic technique). The wire roll is subjected to a treatment process which has been ordinarily performed for chemical deburring of material wire and nickel/diamond coating of mounted opening roller in the galvanic apparatus and then the attachment wire is taken out from the galvanic apparatus.
