Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a practical method for producing a benzothieno benzothiophene derivative useful as an organic semiconductor material, in which a benzothieno benzothiophene derivative having low odor derived from a sulfur raw material can be easily obtained by a reaction of a single step.SOLUTION: A predetermined benzothieno benzothiophene derivative can be obtained by a practical method comprising reacting an o-halogenated benzaldehyde derivative and a dithio compound having a specific structure.
