Abstract:

To provide a method for producing a biodegradable aliphatic polyester, which avoids blocking by coalescence of pellets in drying.

The method for producing a biodegradable aliphatic polyester includes: a crystallization step (S03) of heating and crystallizing a pellet 11 of a biodegradable aliphatic polyester that contains remaining monomers and has amorphous parts at a first predetermined temperature; and a drying step (S05) of drying the pellet 11 at a second predetermined temperature higher than the first predetermined temperature, wherein the first predetermined temperature is the glass transition temperature or higher and the melting point -40°C or lower.
