Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing structurally bulky raw silk, by which the bulky raw silk is not returned to a yarn in the same state as that of ordinary raw silk even if the bulky raw silk is stretched in a wet state, and a manufacturing apparatus therefor.
SOLUTION: The method for producing the bulky raw silk comprises passing cocoon filaments drawn out from boiled cocoons into a gap between members of a feed means constituted of a pair of the upper and lower members in a divided state as they are, sending out the cocoon filaments, then mutually interlacing the cocoon filaments in an air-jet nozzle to form a bulky raw silk, blowing-out the raw silk from the nozzle, winding the raw silk in an eliminated state of internal stress of yarns under no tension or winding the raw silk under low tension while twisting to give the bulky raw silk. A member having a tapered shape in the front view to pass the cocoon filaments is used as at least the lower member of the feed means and each of the cocoon filaments is passed in a different sending ratio among the yarns of the cocoon filaments.
