Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To develop a method for producing a carboxylic acid while exerting little load on the environment by using carbon dioxide gas as a chemical resource.
SOLUTION: Carbon dioxide gas is condensed with an aldehyde by the reverse reaction of a decarboxylase which is an enzymatic reaction exerting little load on the environment.
