Abstract:
To provide a method for producing a chemically modified microfibril cellulose fiber improved in a specific surface area while inhibiting a viscosity from being enhanced.SOLUTION: The chemically modified microfibril cellulose fiber is produced by the following steps (A) to (D): (A) a step of preparing a chemically modified cellulose; (B) a step of cleaning the chemically modified cellulose with water; (C) a step of dispersing the chemically modified cellulose in water having an electric conductivity of 10 mS/m or more; and (D) a step of subjecting the chemically modified cellulose in the dispersion to fibrillation or beating treatment to obtain the chemically modified microfibril cellulose fiber.SELECTED DRAWING: None
