Abstract:
To provide a method for producing a cyclic sulfite compound that has a high reaction yield and can suppress the formation of organic halide by-products, and, when the halogen is chlorine, can also suppress the by-products of a specific organic chlorine compound with a boiling point similar to that of the target product.SOLUTION: A method for producing a compound represented by the general formula (2) includes reacting a compound represented by the general formula (1) with a thionyl halide in a molar ratio of 1: 0.8 or more and 2 or less.SELECTED DRAWING: None
