Abstract:
To provide a production method of a dialkoxymagnesium for obtaining a dialkoxymagnesium having a narrow particle size distribution to the level as narrow as that achieved by using expensive atomized powder and having a high bulk density.SOLUTION: There is provided a method for producing a dialkoxymagnesium comprising reacting metallic magnesium with an alcohol in the presence of a reaction accelerator to obtain a dialkoxymagnesium. In the method, a halogen or a halogen compound is used as the reaction accelerator, and metallic magnesium having a total specific surface area T of 0.30 to 3.00 m/g and a difference (A-T) between a specific surface area A at Dor less and the total specific surface area T of 2.00 m/g or less is used.SELECTED DRAWING: None
