Abstract:
To provide a method for producing a diamine by which the lowering of the catalyst activity can be reduced and the diamine can industrially advantageously be produced in high yield in the method for producing the diamine from a dialdehyde.
A reducing amination reaction of the dialdehyde is carried out in the presence of ammonia and hydrogen using a nickel catalyst supported on an inorganic oxide having ≥1.0 mL/g total volume of pores having ≤1 μm diameter.
