To obtain a high-purity carboxylic acid in high yield by oxidizing olefins with hydrogen peroxide.
In a method for producing a dibasic carboxylic acid by reacting olefins with hydrogen peroxide, the reaction is carried out by using 25.0-32.0 wt.% hydrogen peroxide in the presence of phosphotungstic acid.
