Abstract:
To provide a method for producing dimethylaminoethyl acrylate having extremely high productivity and a small amount of by-product.
A raw material containing an alkyl acrylate and dimethylaminoethyl alcohol in the ratio of x:1 {x (mol%), 80≤x≤280) in the presence of a transesterification reaction catalyst is supplied to a reactor using at least one or more continuous reaction tanks and the reaction is carried out so that the degree of conversion y (%) of dimethylaminoethyl alcohol satisfies (formula 1) 49+0.1x<y<71+0.1x (formula 1) to produce dimethylaminoethyl acrylate.
